Founded in August 2025, Eureka Trails Inc. is an Alaska-based non-profit dedicated to building a safer, more connected community. We are organized for civic and charitable impact, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors alike through dedicated trail stewardship and education.

We are committed to the well-being of the Eureka community through the active maintenance and promotion of our local trail systems. By working in close partnership with the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the State of Alaska, we address the vital economic, health, and social needs of our neighbors, ensuring a thriving future for the area we call home

Why We Exist
Eureka, Alaska, is home to some of the most breathtaking terrain in the Mat-Su Borough, but beauty alone doesn't guarantee safety or accessibility. Without consistent maintenance and organized oversight, our trails can quickly become hazardous, disconnected, or environmentally strained.
Eureka Trails Inc. was founded to fill this gap. We believe that a well-maintained trail system is more than just a path through the woods—it is a lifeline for our local economy, a classroom for outdoor education, and a vital space for the health and well-being of our community.
